Description:
Armadillidium Vulgare Orange is a morph of Armadillidium vulgare, also known as the pill bug or common “rollie pollie,” is a popular species for both beginners and experienced isopod keepers. They are common all over the world as they are a very prolific species. They are orange in colouration along with a few bright spots along their back in two parallel lines, which can vary in intensity from each individual isopod. If they feel threatened they are very likely to conglobate – which is to roll up into a little ball, hence their common name.

Care Requirements:     

Being a Armadillidium species, they do enjoy a bit of ventilation and a good wet side of the enclosure where they can get their moisture supply. Keeping a stable environment with humidity above 65% and temperatures around 21-24°C will ensure a healthy and thriving colony. It is always better to pour in the water onto some Sphagnum Moss rather than spray or mist the enclosure, as this can sometimes irritate the isopods.
