Pesticide free and ready to be added to any bioactive enclosure or fish tank. They function exceptionally well as both a sturdy substrate cover and a long lasting food source. Because they are fibrous, adult isopods may ignore them initially in favour of softer leaves. Over time, however, microbial biofilms break down the leaf tissue. This allows younger generations to steadily consume them as an ongoing dietary supplement. Rich in natural polyphenols like mangiferin, decomposing mango leaves slowly release organic compounds that combat harmful bacteria and fungi in damp substrate. They hold up well in very humid enclosures.
