Magnolia cones are durable botanicals that last about a year before breaking down. Their shape helps support mancae(baby isopods) in their crevices. They serve as a shelter, food and enrichment for isopods. Isopods will slowly eat the seeds out of the pods as it decomposes, releasing nutrients into the substrate. Magnolia cones support beneficial microfauna like springtails and serve as a base for beneficial bacteria growth.

Magnolia Cones are collected only once it has fallen, processed and packaged within the borders of South Africa making it Proudly South African.
