Description:

The Cubaris Rubber Ducky isopod is one of the most coveted species in the isopod community. First discovered in 2017, this unique and visually striking species hails from Thailand and has quickly gained global recognition for its distinct appearance and fascinating behavior.

Known for their remarkable cuteness, Rubber Ducky Isopods appear to have a duck bill, giving them their common name. This is the isopod that inspired the design for our very logo, seeing this isopod in person is something to behold.

Care Requirements:

Cubaris Rubber Ducky isopod thrive in environments with very high humidity, resembling the conditions of a tropical cave. Being a Cubaris genus, their care requirements will be similar to other Cubaris species, like the Panda King. To maintain optimal health, we recommend a bioactive substrate that is at least 10 centimeters deep, allowing these isopods to burrow, breed, and molt naturally. To promote a thriving ecosystem, we suggest incorporating springtails, which enhance microbial diversity within the substrate, fostering a healthier and more stable environment for your isopods.

Due to their rarity and increasing demand, Rubber Ducky Isopods represent a prized addition to any collector’s setup. However, their breeding requirements are considered advanced, making them best suited for experienced enthusiasts looking to add a truly exceptional species to their collection.
