Description:
The Cubaris Cherry Blossoms are known for their soft pink and white petal like colouration. They have been selectively bred from the Cubaris sp. “Red Pak Chong” to have the soft pink colour. Similar to how the Rubber Ducky reproduces, they only give 6-12 offspring at a time. However they mature a little bit faster.
Care Requirements:
They do better overall when left undisturbed and digging in their substrate to check for babies can slow down further breeding habits. Add lots of hides to their enclosure to check on them without disturbing the substrate.
Cubaris Cherry Blossoms need a good moisture gradient. To maintain optimal health, we recommend a bioactive substrate that is at least 5-10 centimeters deep, allowing these isopods to burrow, breed, and molt naturally. To promote a thriving ecosystem, we suggest incorporating springtails, which enhance microbial diversity within the substrate, fostering a healthier and more stable environment for your isopods. Always provide a calcium source and a thick layer of leaf litter. Supplement with protein from time to time to boost reproduction.
